Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose said that it was tough being under the microscope during his rookie season.
The No. 1 overall pick made it clear that he isn’t one to bask in the limelight and doesn’t like all the media attention he has received of late.
Rose was first criticized for a picture circulating the internet that showed him flashing gang signs.
Then he came under more scrutiny for reports that he never even took his SAT’s. Instead, someone else took the test to help him get into Memphis.

The Chicago Bulls have signed guard Jannero Pargo to a one-year contract. Financial terms are not known.
Pargo spent last season playing overseas in both Greece and Russia after several years in the NBA.
This will be Pargo’s second stint with the Bulls as he played for Chicago from 2003 to 2006.
Pargo has also spent time with the Toronto Raptors, New Orleans Hornets and Los Angeles Lakers during his NBA career.

icago Bulls hope to replicate their playoff berth last season, they’ll have to do it without their top scorer as Ben Gordon signed a five-year, $55 million contract with the Pistons on July 8.
Gordon, the 26-year-old shooting guard averaged 20.7 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.5 assists in his fifth season with the Bulls. Gordon led the Bulls in scoring for the fourth straight year.
With the direction of #1 draft pick PG Derrick Rose, the Bulls advanced to the playoffs for the first time in three years, meeting the Boston Celtics for an epic-first round, seven-game showdown.
Yet with the departure of Gordon, the Bulls must replace a 20 point/night scorer iey hope to return to the playoffs in the upcoming season.
At least one person believes the Bulls will be fine, as ESPN’s John Hollinger predicts the Bulls adapting to Gordon’s departure easily. He figures John Salmons or Kirk Hinrich to become the starting shooting guard. While the Bulls backcourt depth is lacking (with only Hinrick Salmons, Luol Deng and Rose), Hollinger believes the situation did not become much worse with the loss of Gordon, and sets Chicago up to be a major player in the oft-ballyhooed “Summer of 2010,” where players like LeBron James, Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh all become free agents.
