Bulls set to sign McGrady

The Chicago Bulls are getting closer to signing formerĀ All-Star guard Tracy McGrady to a contract.

The Bulls have told McGrady that if he can prove he is completely healthy, they will sign him.

They also want to make sure that he is willing to accept a bench role and won’t cause chemistry issues.

McGrady has made it clear that the terms of a contract are not that important to him; he just wants to play. (Read More…)

Bulls sign Brewer

The Chicago Bulls have signed guard Ronnie Brewers to a three-year contract.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Brewer said he could have gone to the Boston Celtics in a sign-and-trade deal but felt Chicago was a better fit.

He could get a chance to start at shooting guard and play alongside point guard Derrick Rose. (Read More…)

Bulls sign Boozer

The Chicago Bulls may not have landed LeBron James, Dwyane Wade or Chris Bosh, but they didn’t come away empty-handed.

The Bulls signed power forward Carlos Boozer to a five-year contract worth around $80 million.

Boozer immediately got in contact with James and tried to lure him to Chicago, but the efforts fell on deaf ears. (Read More…)

Bulls dump salary

The Chicago Bulls used the NBA Draft as another means to dump more salary, setting them up nicely on the free agent market.

Chicago traded away draft picks as well as shooting guard Kirk Hinrich, freeing up additional money.

The Bulls are one of a handful of teams that could possibly land LeBron James, and many think it’s down to them and Cleveland. (Read More…)
